realy cringy the amount of times they reminded us that the fat ones legacy should not be forgotten - or that he made us what we are today.
Neville in particular made me want to smash the TV by saying Payet was just a normal signing - and it was in fact THE WORLDS FAULT that players that cost over 7 million SHOULD BE world class - and not Payets skillset should be considered normal.
and WEST HAM should not be able to get decent players at any cost
AND SAM WAS GREAT AND NOT FORGET IT

To be fair, he's right that we shouldn't be shocked by Payet. I saw it as a great compliment to our transfer dealings and a kick in the crotch for other teams like Tottenham and Liverpool.

Like it or not, Allardyce came in when we were in a bit of shit and got us up and kept us up. It was time for him to move on and it looks like the Bilic era could be an exciting one. Aside from the final six months, Allardyce earned his money.
As for Neville commenting about Payet, he was spot on. That type of fee should buy proven quality but there are too many average players going for similar amounts. Therefore it was a massive compliment to our scouting network and transfer policy. Bargains are out there but the background work needs to be done.

With the money comment, I didn't realise that Firminho cost 29 mil.
Amounts like that make Neville spot on and we should just be thankful that with the money we spent on Payet, it's not only justified but a bargain.
We still had a load of berks on here though saying a 6 year deal was a joke!!!

Sorry, I forgot to put IMO as it was obviously my opinion because I wrote it. We stayed up that season and have built since then.

I don't know why you let it wind you up. He's gone. Did some good groundwork for the club which will hopefully allow us to move on to the next level under Bilic.
Don't look back. Looking forward is more exciting at the moment.

Very telling that Sam is sitting around twiddling his fat thumbs, waiting for around Christmas time when one of the teams in trouble at the bottom of the league come calling.
